Honeycomb grill swap 2002 ranger?
Hey guys,
Just picked up a ranger with a busted grill and looking to replace it with a honeycomb grill. I've done some research and cant find a definitive answer. So here's what I've got
2002 2wd 2.3 XLT ranger.
I'd like to replace my grill and the surrounding trim with a Honeycomb grill. On Ebay I see what appears to be the whole assembly for around $50? This seems stupid cheap and too good to be true?
I also read that on the 2WD trucks its not a perfect fit due to the shape of the hood?
If someone could steer me in the right direction that would be great!
thank you,
Deven

The short answer is that it will fit fine. However, it won't be painted, and it won't come with any clips or the emblem. You can reuse your clips and your emblem from the broken grille, but if they're in bad shape, you'll have to buy those too.
On the 2wd XL and XLT trucks, the hood line doesn't quite match up, but it's not necessarily a massive gaping hole.
Check out the thread below for some pictures. The lowered black truck is what you're looking for.
