I got some tail lights off ebay. I think they are aftermarket replacements. 01-05 tails. they are in great condition and I only paid $35 shipped to me. But still am a little annoyed. They do not have any ford logos on them. they do have the year/month grid. a Visteon logo, FD29.45, part numbers are asyvil5x-13b504-b and asyvil5x-13b505-b. The seller swears they came off his truck when it was new and were replaced with fancy aftermarket lenses.

 

I believe all ford tails have the Visteon logo, no ford logo on them.

 

Don't know if this is relevant but I just checked my 98 tails and they both have the Ford logo.

 

I know my 05 Didn't....

 

I have some from a 2000 that do have the ford logo and thats what i was comparing them to. The new ones also feel lighter than the 2000s that I have.

 

My three sets of '01's dont have the ford logo, nor do my '06's....and all came off good condition trucks.
