How hard is it to change out the back window?

Right now i have the solid glass ... in my other rangers that i had (93 &98) they had the center window that you can slide open... How hard would it be to change it out myself instead of paying someone to do it.. And where would i find one?? I was just on JCwhitney and they have nothing...

It's super easy. Just take off the back plastics, remove the 8 nuts, pry off window, remove old glue, reinstall new window... it's just that easy!

I want to take my window with the center window out for a single piece. I never use that window because I can't reach it while driving without doing some serious bending.

I'm converting to a solid back. I hate my slider. Rattles WAYYY too much. Plus I got the solid for free off craigslist...so it's all goood.

Don't forget eurothane adhesive to seal the rear window....

lol, your in NY I'm in CT. Maybe if I go up there some time I'd think about doing it. As long as I can be sure it won't leak. only thing I'd hate.

it is super easy... the window costs a pretty penny though... id recommend trying to find one at a junk yard or something. i closed mine too hard one day cause there was some stuff stuck in the track and it jammed... took out one of the side panels, cost me $500 to replace the whole thing.

ya.... i had a totem poll break through my old rear window, changed it with the spare i had, only took about 40 mins.

i sealed it with kualk (correct spelling?) and it's still water tight, been about 6 months

Mine leaks pretty good too, especially after this nasty rain we've been getting. If it's this easy to take out maybe I should just take it out and re-seal it
