On the back remove the 2 speed nuts and one bolt to remove the fog light then just pop it out....no glue!
u got a pic of said bolts? lmao
dang thats pretty easy...
Lazler send me your bumper :-D |
Bump! I see 2 bolts and 2 plastic clips.. what do i have to remove to get the honeycomb part out? Any help would sure be nice lol
I don't have a picture but you have to remove the fog light assembly first. 2 nuts on the inside edge and a bolt on the outside edge. after removing the light press the 2 little clips and it should slide out.

its definiteltly those that one bolt off to the side and the spring things holding in the fog light. i bet its a compress the spring and turn 90 degrees to release or something like that. thats what i would try. then worry about the plastic part
oh or the spring thing is to aim the fogs, then i woulnt turn it. looks like those rusty looking clip things things. does it look like there is any way to unscrew it?
i don't wanna touch it cause if it does fall apart i am SOL and will have air holes in my valance for a while LOL
yeah, it really looks like you would have to undo that one bolt and those plastic studs. which sucks, i wouldnt want to break those either. i know someone just masked them off, if your up for the work.
im assuming you want to paint it |
yeah painting the fog light honeycomb pieces, mirrors, door handles, tailgate handle and plastic bumper cover on the back
should look good! i did my grill and headlights the other day. ive always been reluctant to paint the door handles because i dont know how they would wear.
yeah.. i never touch the top i always use the the back side so should look good cause i am painting to colour match (the handles and mirrors) then black for the fogs and bumper piece
There are three parts holding the foglight onto the honeycomb, two are those flimsy metal nuts on the plastic posts (right side), and one bolt (left side).
Just get the right sockets to remove the nuts and bolt, and you will have your foglight out. The bolt with the spring on it is the adjuster for the light. If I remember correctly, that does not have to be removed to get the fog light out of the honeycomb. I have no idea how to get the honey comb out after that. You may just have to paint them while they're in the bumper. Blue painter's tape and an exacto knife should do just fine. |
winks how the heck do u get those metal rings off to get at the nut?
remove the bolt and the two metal clips and the fog light comes out. you can remove the clips with a pair of pliers. (lefty loosy and righty tighty)

yep thats the 3 I was talking about. don't mess with the spring bolts unless your lights need aimed.
Alright Thanks guys! How do u get those really thin metal clips off to get to the nuts?
