My brother in-law used this product called plasti dip on his Ram to turn his chrome emblems black. I took it to turn my chrome grille black and my alloy wheels black. I'm going to put more coats on the rims and put a gloss coat. I'll post updates.

 

what made you paint your ranger that color?

I like it.

 

I bought the truck that color, it's an old usda forestry truck. I painted black to give it more contrast.

 

Also, I forgot to post that this stuff will totally just peel off clean when I want it too, and it's cheap, so its a no risk operation.

 

plastidip has been around for a while. pretty good product, i use it on my wheels for the winter months but put it back on because i like the look better lol

 

Im digging the satin finish, but I know that the gloss coats will really set it off

 

I think your truck would look awesome in that green with a BL and some 33's.
