I don't know that I've ever seen one that doesn't mount to the floor of the bed. The frame rails underneath the bed would be a much stronger mounting point in case of an actual roll-over than the bedsides would. Have you ever seen one before, or are you making it up in your head?

Ebay: Roll Bar on eBay

Why do you need a light bar and a roll bar? Wouldn't the roll bar serve as a light bar too?

i have definitely seen them. i need it to mount on the bed rails because i use my bed for hauling 4-wheelers and snowmobiles.

If you find one let me know where & how much, I have sorta been looking for one... if the right deal came along. Have you thought about having one made?

They make them for rangers in other countries, I remember seeing the rail mounted ones on ebay before but the shipping to the U.S. was too much.

the '93,'94 ranger stx 4x4 was available from the factory with a rollbar that was attached to the top of the bedrails. if you can find one of these, your in business!

I have one made by Go Rhino where the hoop rail that goes right behind the cab mounts on the bed rails and the two kickers go down into the bed but are removable if you need to use the bed. It also has holes dilled on top of the hoop rail for mounting off road lights.

This is without the two kicker rails.

This is with the kicker rails.

Here is a pic of the holes in the hoop rail. There are four small holes to mount the lights on.

I ordered it through a local four wheel drive shop, you can order it online you just have to send them the right measurements for your truck.

Here are a couple sites i know of that carry it.
