Installed a Inverter Pics inside

I have seen this done on many expo's , but not any rangers. Will add more pics soon, and will do a complete writeup. enjoy

Inverter installed behind the passenger jump seat, jack mount was removed, power cord plugged in and hole drilled and ran towards the passenger rear bed. Positive and negative wire ran to the battery and than a separate ground ran to the body. I also installed a 150amp circuit breaker.

Nice man! I have been thinking about doing this. you might want to switch to a GFCI out let since it is exposed to the elements.

I really like this! What gauge wire do you have running to it? and where did you get the outlet?

Thanks

There is a write up in the how to section. Click on the How-To: Index Of Articles link in my sig.

hwemple Dec 5, 2011 11:26 AM

I didn't see one for the inverter, what did you put it under?

98liftedranger Dec 5, 2011 11:31 AM

The How To is just for the source using the distribution box.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/interior-exterior-electrical-123/how-12-volt-source-bed-3946/

This one was mounted by the rear jump seat and then was hard wired from there.

hwemple Dec 5, 2011 12:04 PM

Do you, by any chance, know the size of inverter he installed? Also, so he just hooked up the inverter to a single, separate 12 V battery in the bed?
