KC light question

So i got some money to get some lights to fill up the space in my grill guard and wanted some KCs up there. auto zone has 130w daylighters at the store that would save on haveing to ship them. i just wanted to know if the 150w lights are a lot better/different. if the 150w ones are really better ill go with those just trying to find out about these alittle bit. i read zachs kc light thread but it didnt go into that kind of detail. ohh and can 130w lights be converted to 150w lights down the road with like new lights and wiring stuff just wondering. thanks.

130W H3 are darn near as bright as 150W the H3 bulb operates at a different temp band on the light spectrum vs the 150W halogen. I have seen 100W daylighter's vs my 150w they were dimmer but not by tons never seen ever the 130W daylighters seen a H3 blue bulb 130W slims they where pretty close to mine but more white light instead of yellow... hard to say really you will save like $10-$15 on them for the 130W BUT the good thing about the 150W you can buy stainless and never never have to worry about them rusting most likely the 130W are eather chrome or powtercoated black i would step up that $10-$15 and get the stainless 150W

are you looking at straight daylighters or are they the slimlites? I went with slimlites, I wanted the titanium 150w slimlites, but store was out and they wanted an extra $20, so I just went with the black slimlites. I can always put the 150w bulb that comes in the titanium finish set in if I want.

huh, a brain fart on my part. I could have sworn the titanium slimlites came with the 150w ice blue, but it's the 130w.

Titanium slims are the ****! Those are what I had on my truck until last week. I've had both the 130w ice blue driving and 130w ice blue long range. Both were sweet.

i need to remount mine. I took my grille guard off though. I have the black slims, long range. I love them when I'm offroad at night. I usually pop em on and leave the headlights on low beam, the way the KCs were aimed I had perfect long, mid/short, and fog illumination on trails.

I have the 150 watt and they are pretty sweet. I have the stone guards and if I want to use my lights for more then a few minutes I have to take off the guards. I am very pleased with the way mine work.

yes the ABS stone guards will fit the light but being there plastic and 150w get really hot you have to take them off.. or they will melt, just as Skot the admin how he knows that one lol...

No... The one that is shot is the original one (the one that surrived my crash a few years ago). I wish I still had it though... at 100 or so a set it adds up! I just need one so I will prob just try to buy one.

EDIT: Yes KC 150 long range lights...

The light is good but the screw comming from the light just spins so you need to grab the screw with a pair of pliers to tigghten the big nut on the bottom to mount it.
