the bottom of the skid is jsut below the radiator. it may be at the same height of the radiator but if its a foot in front of it then it still kills the angle. but if you give me more pictures (which I will gladly look at!!) i can see what youre talkin about. |
the only thign with a better approcah angle is to remove my bumper completely, this approach angle is better than with my stock bumper. The skid is angle in towards the bottom, not vertical.

i see what you are saying, i guess there is no real way to win this argument either way (anythign in front of you rig will hurt departure angle)
compared to any other grill like a manik where it mounts under the stock bumper, that hurts your approach angle even more. |
i see its angled but I think you could get a better angle. I have a skidplate plan for my bumper that will give me the best clearnce I can get with the radiator where it is. but it think the only way to do that is to run a plate with the same angle than runs with the subframe and the radiator and ending the plate as soon as possible.

i am pretty sure you may need a 2 piece skid to make that angle. I thought abotu doing that but it wasnt worth it to me. A one piece skid at the angle you are talkign abotu would put the bumper out much further than mine is already.
