light bar for top of truck
light bar for top of truck
hello i have a 2004 fx4 super cap and i have a light for top of truck what do i need to put it on top the hard ware that came with light bar don't look like it work on 2004 any help would be great
First off, punctuation is a must buddy. I had to read that like a bazillion times to understand.
As for the lights. You have to do all the wiring yourself. Most peopel run the wire down through the door crack and to a switch mounted somewhere inside the cab.
To mount the bar, I'm assuming it has rain gutter mounts on each end, in which case you have to buy some mounts and put them on so that you can attach the bar.
Here's a link, I'm not sure which one you need, but it is one of those, someone else will know for sure.

got one more question. The rain gutter kit. How does it mount on truck do you have to drill holes to hold it on truck. I like the link page it show the bar clamp on the rain gutter but did not show how kit was attached to the truck thank this is a great web site lot and lot of info
Yes, you have to mount it to the body of the truck. I know Zach Stone has pics of how his are mounted, so hopefully he'll post them so you can see.

Here is the way I mounted mine. The same way that Zach did his and also some shots of how the wiring is routed.
