Anyone around the Seattle area that works in a paint and body shop? I just got an '01 Powerdome hood and need it painted. Called several shops in the area and they all want $450 on up...just to paint a damn hood!!!

I know paint is expensive, but holy geez!! The labor can't be THAT bad, can it? I know there's sanding and body filler, but still...

 

you should def look for a better price, to get my powerdome painted it was only about 200 bucks

 

doesnt sound that bad, i had a fender and trunklid painted for my tbird. ran me just shy of 900.

 

My uncle has a shop in Seattle. Its called Bernard Import Bodyworks. Its located on 8th Ave North. My cousin James works at the front door. Tell them that Brandon Dickinson sent you. If they cant do it and you want to make a trip my dad owns a body shop in Lake Stevens (East of Everett) called Lake Stevens Auto body. Hope this helps

 

BTW Shop labor is 60-75ish an hour in seattle. My dads is 55 an hour
