Something high like 1500 or 2000. I would start with 2000.

Try some simple green or some heavy duty cleaner diluted in water with the 2000 grit. That should work.

I have bassani lightning style, I like the way it looks and it gets a few compliments. I pull mine off once a year and clean with paint stripper. Shine them up with a buffer and polish.
