Deer whistles

I just did the deer whistle mod.
Not sure if these things work, but they definitely can't hurt.
Anybody here use them?

I knew someone who put those on his truck. Then he hit a deer. Instead of the deer running across the road, my guess is if they do work... they get the deers attention, probably making them stop in the middle of the road with that "deer in headlights" look and then BAAAMMM!!!! Dead deer, f'ed up truck. Good luck with that tho.

Dont help, we had a laugh at the fire dept because we assisted someone who hit a deer and when I picked up the bumper there was a deer whistler.

Well, I work in the sticks, and I usually spot 3 or 4 deer in the last 5 mile stretch before getting to work.
