What do you know about Herculiner, the stuff you roll in the bed yourself to do my whole bed over the rails it shouldnt b more than 150 dollars but is it durrable or should I just fork out the money for line X at 450 dollars to go over the rail? Let me know what you think

line-x is better... herculiner is also nice but not as thick.... if you use your bed alot line-x.... if your like me and using to for protection than get the herculiner...

also instead of hand scuffing the bed use a scotchbrite and affix it to a power sander( the ones that osolate).... makes short work of it... and if you want prime the whole bed... prevents rust

Herculiner worked fine for me, I use my bed for some heavy stuff, haven't really had any problems. Can't be the price!

 

Dang i was thinking about asking this question when i saw a commercial for Herculiner this morning. My stock Ford dropin is starting to peel off so i've been thinking of doing Herculiner, has anyone ever gone over the bedrails with it?

 

^^i did but what i did was put 1 coat of liner on the rails and side walls and 5 on the floor so my tailgate is starting to chip but the rest of my liner is fine because its coved by my tonnuea cover

With my truck I also have a Leer topper on it so there is not a ton of stuff back there very often but from what it sounds like the herculiner is what I may go with, for the price and the fact that I dont have a ton of heavy stuff I think its my best option

 

I bought Herculiner for 69.99. I have a black truck and am using it for minor things. I want to keep it nice lookin, not many scratches.. Things of the sort..

I called here locally here in Medford, OR and Line-X waht 490 to spray it on.

So for 70 bucks, I had to go with Herculiner.

 

it'd prolly look better if it didnt cut that corner like that. If he had continued it around or didnt go as low. Who knows.

 

i did the tail gate that low because i had a big scratch to cover up other wise it would end just before the cover

 

Went over the rails with mine, no problems. Easy enough to do, just don't skimp on the prep work!

 

 

I did the duplicolor roll on (same as herculiner) a couple months ago. It was perfect for me b/c I use the bed alot, but not everyday like a work truck, and spending almost 500 dollars on getting the bed sprayed wasn't really an option. As stated above prep work is everything. I used a wire wheel, power washer, and sand paper to get all the crap off. It's help up great, the only place ne has come off is where my tension/load bars pushed against the side, it pulled some off there on a hot day.
