KC Daylighters or KC slimlites?
I am getting new lights, and I am looking at either the 130w KC daylighters or the 130w KC slimlites. Which are better or is there a difference? I would get the long distance lights for either style. I like the size of the slimlites but will I lose any lighting capabilities by picking them over the daylighters?
Thanks guys.

well I would get the plastic rock covers regardless of what either came with, maybe ill try the hella's out next. It is just that from the beginning i always wanted KC's and was talked out of them for PIAA 55w=85w lights, and while the PIAA's have been reliable and great, I just want soemthing brighter and more powerful, so I need to get some opinions about which is better. Thanks guys.

The beam is projected through a lense....its all about a the lense that gives a pencil beam.
There are MANY MANY MANY KC knockoffs out there. Those rust like nuts. YES, KC's will rust over time.....over 10years...
Most if not ALL KC's are stainless housings. They do rust at the rivets that hold the housing to the bracket.
To answer your question...
Where are you wanting to mount them? Some places Daylighters look great. Some other places Slimlites look great. If on the front bumper, i'd go Slimlites. Because they are really really skinny compaired to the Daylighters. Both Slims and Daylighters are avaliable as high as 150w. Same bulbs, same covers, same lenses. It's very much skinny vs. thick. I've noticed no light difference between the two. Daylighters are cheaper though.

and NO slims are not in 150w... 150w are only daylighters due to the large housing of the bulb and the high heat they give off.. also 150w are discontinued...
also KC has 23 year warranty on all the lights including rust and bulb burn out...

redneckstone, I trust you man I just thought I would get some second opinions, if that is alright, I appreciate your and everyone else's help on this. I am going to put my PIAA's behind the grill, and put the slimlites/daylighters on the safari bar...that is the plan anyways...
Why would you have them on when other traffic is coming towards you in the first place??? Yes these lights are illegal for use on the street(if you get caught imo), thus the whole 'off road use only' or whatever. But seriously....if you are using them as your headlights, your gonna have problems.

1000% no stock fogs are no more then 55w if not less.. kc lights pull more amps then those..
They are a good looking light when they are off.. but when on.. sorry man. i went side by side with a truck from a member here that doesnt log on anymore. just 2 of my kc's, with 2 of his black magics.. I made his black magics look like mag flash lights..
