lose the lower valence?

1 Attachment(s)
I have been having some rubbing issues once I put on the 1.5in spacer and was wondering if it would look good and be easy to remove my lower valence. I am open to suggestions and comment. I am also interested on peoples suggestions of other modifications to my truck. Thank you in advance :biggthump

I'd trim the valance a little or take out the spacers. I wouldn't take the valance off.

how would you reccomend trimming the valence? I would like to keep the spacers on...its amazing what those 3inches do

99offroadrngr Jun 12, 2010 02:21 PM

i say take the valence off and give me the clips lmao

btm757 Jun 12, 2010 02:29 PM

IMO It looks crappy and not clean at all with no front valence, unless you were to use a different style bumper.

This is what my truck looks like missing the valence

that looks like total **** without the valance

RangERVT Jun 12, 2010 06:37 PM

spacer?

what kind of spacer are you referring to?

FULLSCALE Jun 12, 2010 08:50 PM

I'm assuming he means wheel spacers. I'd just leave the valence on and trim it!

GI_JO_NATHAN Jun 13, 2010 08:35 AM

I just marked my valance with a piece of cardboard and trimmed it with a jig saw.

justinkeoughan Jun 13, 2010 09:00 AM

Yeah just trim it. You truck will look like a dog's a*s if your remove the valance. imo.

haydnclement4 Jun 13, 2010 02:05 PM

hahah a dogs ass? nice...do you think i should do a circular trim or more of a triangular?

justinkeoughan Jun 13, 2010 02:28 PM

Circular. I have 1.5 inch spacers on my truck as well and I have no rubbing issures. I bought them off my friend whi has 16" rims. I have 15" rims. So if you downsize your rims you wont have to cut anything. I didnt.

Place a few spacer in between the front bumper brackets to the frame so the bumper is further away from the swing of the wheels. There should be enough of the bumper bolts to clear the tire.

taking it off makes it look like butt.

i used my grinder to make the bulk of the cut and a dremel to finish it off...then a sanding block to get rid of the fuzzed edges.
