Stock 01 Nerf Bars fit on 99?

My buddy wants to sell me his stock nerf bars off of his 01 Ranger Egde 4x4. I have a 99 XLT 4x4. Will the nerf bars fit without any modifications? If not, what all do I have to do?
Thanks...

i think they will fit if they are for the same type of body... ie. reg cab, 2 door ext cab or 4 door ext cab

one's a 4 door one is a 2 door there is more bracing because of the 4door and from what i understand the underside is different. if you perform a SEARCH on here you should be able to find the info you need to make it work if you can. but from what i understand it doesnt work

yeah it wont work that way... the only way to do it i think is to get the right brackets for your 2 door but even then im not 100% sure on it fitting
