1998-2001 FORD RANGER RED/CL LED TAIL LIGHTS 1999 2000 - eBay (item 390266461576 end time Dec-07-10 08:20:08 PST)


anyone have an idea for wiring on these? it doesn't show anything on the ebay page for it.

i have the 3 bulb wires. and i just made the 01-05 tails to work with the 3 bulbs, but its not sealed perfect and water gets in there, and just don't really like the look of them anymore.

i like those and the led's are cool as well. just don't know how its suppose to hook up, since they are 98-01 which are the 3 wire setup.

 

Anyone?

 

I had to cut the factory connector, and strip back the wires. Then wire them up, test to make sure your blinker signals are hooked up properly before you tape them up permanently. I blew a fuse or two figuring it out.

By the looks of those led tails, they're only going to have 2 pair of wires, one for reverse & one for brake/turns. I'd say they'll need to be wired just like the 01+ 2 bulb tails.

See if they'll send you a pic of the backside of those tails to get a look at the actual wiring.

From what I understand, 2000 was the final year of the 3 bulb setup and 2001 was the first year for the 2 bulb setup.
The shapes should be the same from 94 up.

What are your plans for your old tail lights?

 

yeah i'll see if i can get a picture of the connectors on the back.

and i'd probably just keep them just in case for back ups.

 

Yes my truck is a 99, so it has three lights (3 pair). These tails had 2 pair. So my reverse light is disabled.
