DWB FTW! '06+ Emblems!! (56k, no way!)

So I finally got around to modding my '06+ emblems i got a few months back from the great vendor, UnderdogPerformance aka MR. WAYNE. Whether was finally getting warm enough for painting. I only got one done, but will likely do the other later tonight, or possibly on my next weekend off.

I've seen 06+ emblems modded, but not modded the way I did it. I thank RangerMuse for his help and suggestions on this. Right now the clear is drying....so some of the bottom pics the chrome looks like crap...but right now it looks pretty cool!

Materials Used:

Acetone
Q-tips (not the rapper, the ear cleaning things)
Paper towels
DupliColor Adhesion Promoter
DupliColor T293 Deep Wedgewood Blue
DupliColor Clear top coat
3" blue tape (the good stuff)
Many different xacto knifes(used the medium sized one the most.

Lots o pics.....

Masking was the BIGGEST PITA! ever. I kept having to redo it, and redo it, and redo it. Yea.....it sucked kinda.

Get a side pic of the entire truck when you can. Looks great man, all that masking pays off.

Only got one done so far. Waiting to install til both are complete and i'm satisfied with the results. Definately will post side pics of it on the truck....no doubt.

Did anyone notice where I accident knicked the blue paint with the xacto knife when puling the masking tape off?? above the "N", in the first "R", and the "G"???? The clear sorta covered them up except the "N".

it will just get messed up anyways, i plan to have fun with it offroad.

i won't have to worry about paint if it gets scratched.
but i will be painting it with gloss paint this spring if that makes you feel any better.
