Need a measurement pls!
am looking at the new Ranger and need to know the distance between the cab and the ground. Have a 4 x 2 f150 and having problems getting into truck now so wanted to see how high up this cab in the 2 wheel drive would be. Will be putting running boards on it but i still need to know that measurement to determine if it is even possible to do what I want to do. Any help would be appreciated...I am a female but do love the ford trucks! |
For Ranger 2WD regular cab 1998 to 2011, the ground clearance is 6.7", that's the bottom of rear axle differential, which is 10" tall, so center line of axle is 5", so 11.7" from ground to center of a wheel
The cabs lower body line is at the center of the wheel, add 3 " for rocker, so say 15" for Cab floor height, add 1.5" for Super cab, 2.5" for 4WD Dimensions here but doesn't have that specific measurement: https://www.therangerstation.com/sto...er-dimensions/ |
Ron, are those measurements same for the 2019? |
No, they are here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threa...pecs-pdf.1298/
The H105 on the 2WD model shows 19.77" so add 3" to that, for about 23" cab floor height 2019 Ranger is almost same size as the F-150s, not at all similar to the 1983-2011 Rangers which were small trucks |
