Need some opinions on lighting styles

I want to make some changes to the front of my truck. Small changes you could say. I'm looking to replace the fog lights since the factory ones are pretty shot and fogging up pretty badly. I'm running yellow Nokya bulbs in the fogs and really like the output and look. I was looking at replacing the fogs with either one of these:

(Im sending links so you can read the descriptions. I'm leaning towards the amber ones between the two choices)

I'm not sure exactly how much light projectors would throw out....might defeat the purpose of having a FOG light and turn it more into a driving light. I was also thinking of getting an HID kit for the fogs since I don't run them all the time and drive on back roads alot. That would probably give me some extra light output.

As far as the headlights, I don't have clear corners and everyone keeps telling me to get them. Is there a decent set I should be looking for or will a $15.00 Ebay set work fine?

I was also looking at a black set like this:

but I'm not sure how the black would look with the Blue color of the truck.

the black headlights would look good, I say go with the projector HID...

x2 on the black lights and the projectors.

Black headlights and corners and projectors are the way to go.

The projector fogs are actually not as good as you would think, everyone that I have seen that ran them said they were very disappointing. I would just get another set of factory fogs if you are having problem with yours.

Those "projector" fog lights are pretty crappy. Keep in mind even tho you may think they will work good with HID's they will not, they are also not designed for HID's. The bulb will be too far forward in them so they will work ****ty with HID's and most likely glare badly also.

The yellow/amber fogs are also a waste if your fogs you have now are good. You can buy some yellow stained glass paint or Duplicolor Metalcast paint in yellow color and paint your stock ones with it. They will look exactly the same depending on how many coats of paint you do.

Thanks for the responses guys. Some good thoughts. I think I'm going to keep the stock headlights and get some clear corners and see if I can get a set of replacement oem style fogs.

Use the black headlights..

BUT

Go with stock fogs and run 3000k HID's.. thats where it is at... they come out a nice yellow.. without tinting and are way brighter..

Where did you mount your ballasts?

Wish i had a picture.. I think FX4wannabe01 has a picture of them..

The mount on the sides around the grille. Or the bottom of the grille area.

Its a tough stretch but it can be done.

Otherwise as far from the ground as you can get.
