French kissed a receiver
Well years of dad telling me I follow to close, He french kissed a receiver today. I got it off and he has bent that front cross member pretty bad, almost got the oil cooler behind it.
Any ideals on how to fix this and were to get another bumper??
Thanks!!

I did about the same thing just with a pole. Pulled the crossmember back with a tractor and then got a new valance and bumper from Certifit. Not OEM quality but it worked for me, was probably around $110 for both.
If you want it fixed correctly your going to have to grind off the welds in the stock and then weld on a new one.

Cutting and welding isn't the smartest idea in my book, All day everyday at work, i fixed cars that have been run into barriers and other things, we NEVER cut and weld them back together, we always pull them with a Frame rack.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't ever cut and weld, i've seen my old man do it time and time again with header panels and inner fenders, but never a bumper cross memeber.
I would find yourself some hardened steel chains, and figure out some way to pull that cross memeber back into shape.
