I found these oem step bars but how do you tell of they are for a 2 or 4 door. I have a two door.

I have never seen a set for a 2 door, but those look just like my 4 door ones.

Supercab is a fancy name for extended cab.

The only difference is the mounting points.

Does anyone know if 4 door step bars will fit a 2 door?

Yes, I know that. ...and the description for that auction goes on to say that they came off his 4-door supercab, and they should fit on any 2- or 4-door supercab, but not regular cab Ranger

I'm pretty sure the 2 and 4 door supercabs have different mountings on the rear

well if the price is right, fab up some brackets, i paid 200 for mine brand new, when installed they were up against the rocker panel and barely had room for a shoe. i made drop brackets that lowered them 3" and kicked them out 2" now they actually function as step bars, not just some tubular show item. i did add a brace to keep from putting more strain on the cab body mounts due to the increased leverage caused by my drop brackets. had them on for 4 years now and no problems. heres a shot of my drop brackets, just 2 peices of 3"x3" angle welded to each other with flat iron gussets and a brace to the frame with 1" channel the brace on the rear bracket is blocked from veiw by the bracket. Name: 93ranger009.jpg

Why would you need a stepbar for that truck? Its not even lifted.

because im short, and the truck was just high enough that i would have to slide across the seat to get out and pull on the steering wheel to get in. my '88 2wd was the perfect height. the step bars just makes things a little easier for me. my daugter can also get in by herself now rather than need a little help.

Say fddriver02. If you're still in the market. I have a set I just took off my 02 XLT 4X2.
I'll have to look but I think I still have the bolts I removed also.
I'm only 90 miles away in Palm Springs, so you don't have to pay shipping and you can see them before you buy.
I'd be willing to meet you part way.

PM me if you're interested.

i personally think step bars are a waste of money bc they look good for a while then they just rust out
