Painting Fender Flairs Ect.

So I took my rear mud flaps of my rear 98. Looks good except there is a gap near the bottom of the fender and the body. Im thinkin of paintin that black to look less noticable. I have been thinking about painting my fender flairs, front valence, and these other two strips of my bumper black, to match the color of my truck. How does that sound? And I'm assuming that I would have to primer and then spray paint all the plastic. And one final question. I have heard that once you remove the flairs, you have to use sheetmetal screws or double sided tape to reattach, b/c the clips break off easy. Is this true? And what about when I take my valence off? Same deal or can i reuse the clips?
Thanks.
Oh, and my first damage report: Scratched my bed with my bike handlebars hanging over the side this evening. Grrrrrrr.

i dont no about the rest, but when you remove the valance from the bumper, it should just be bolts holding then together...push pins would not hold up.

i painted mine with the Krylon Fusion black paint. it is paint designed to stick to plastic........as far as the clips go to you local ford dealer and buy some more...they do break off whenever you remove the flares but they are only like $.15 a piece at the dealer. you can buy plenty enought to replace the flare's clips for around $5.
