i thought the rear axle was resprayed, and the frames not as bad as the body. just the cab mounts,rear bumper and the bed. theres been worse ive seen on the roads

i would recommend getting a wire wheel they are not that expensive and gettin most of the rust underneath and get it all to bare metal, use your welding skills and beef up the frame again then prime it and paint it. and replace all your cab mounts.

You must be mistaken, this was taken from his last update from the swap.. looks like the ubolts got sprayed?

the ubolts were raw when i put them on and i forgot to paint them they needed covered. the rear axle is dirty and needs cleaned. i wasnt to worried about anything but keeping the ubolts from rusting.

wow once again mark knows better over a person that has worked on my truck. just wow mark you know everything there is to know. im not with this thread. just delete the whole thing or lock it i dont care

They've had the rust killer in Hot rod magizene...only works on surface rust. Living in the salt belt myself, you'll need a wire wheel and a dust mask to clean that up.

to get back to the original question a friend of mine tried it on his ranger and wasn't happy with how it turned out i think he ended up doing every thing with chassi saver and that was two years ago and it still isn't showing sings of rust
