opinion......

I now this could go several ways because its an opinionated question but here goes. Please understand i just bought this and am getting pics tomorrow. but this is very simple. 06 yellow level II. i thought about doing my hood like zaebeard's but doing to match the bottom charc. color BUT i have a new AVS low profile bug sheild. Also coming soon a 3" body lift and some new Dick Cepek's. Was thinking about replacing the factory Alcoa's or should i keep them? Their is a company here in Huntsille, Al (Rocket City Offroad) i am going to see tomorrow about a new custom front bumper. I am going to let them know about this website and there seems to be a demand for them. maybe i can work out some sorta buy in deal if others are interested!!

I like the hood paint idea, ditch the bug shield though. I say keep the wheels, eh...let me see a pic first and then I will decide. Also, what after-market wheels are you thinking of switching to?

I saw some dick cepeks that i liked cant remeber the name of them right now but they are black with polished outline. they are like a split 5 spoke and are kinda concave looking.

DC-1 is the series.

Ditch the Alcoas, they are too skinny and not enough offset IMO

Nah, I'm not an ***... only Mark can be an ***... he's our resident *** clown. All I was implying is that I had no idea what "keep the II look" meant. It's an FX4 LII, don't see any one on the site trying to make it look like an Edge or anything... the FX4 guys are very proud of the FX4's they own, myself included.

Cant this be taken care of in PMs?? Lets get back to the original intention of the thread.
Personally I like the look of the bugshield on 06s.

Size: 178.7 KB I have a black decal on my hood but that was becasue I didnt like the look of a mostly black hood. As for the Alcoas, I say keep them. Guys on here always want them and I think they look good too.

yeah guys where all here for the same common intrest and goal. I hate to see people bickering back and fourth and im not pointing fingers at any one person. that was a big reason why i got out of the import scene. we were all supposed to be against the V-8 guys but everyone was against each other. We should have commroadery for each other wether or not we have the opions. Anyways back to subject at hand..LOL!! Yeah i like that hood but i was thinking of leaving that part yellow and doing the outlining part two toned but i don't know how that would look with the bug shield. i hate to toss it for all the freaking bugs we get here in the south but will if needed too!!

Yea I just wanted to show what that part looked like black just in case. Idk I think it would look nice the way u want it with the bugshield on. You could get it painted, try it on there, and if you dont like the look sell it or junk it. Someone could probably PS the hood for you if you asked.

I do like that hood!! It's probably the better of the two ideas as far as having your hood two toned AND a bug shield. I do paint on the side. Had an idea of buying a clear bug shield and leaving it clear or painting the bug shield to match up with the hood. I know i just opened a can of worm for just freakin paintin the hood...LMAO!!!!
