Painting axle
I'll be taking a wire wheel to a spare rear end that I'm going to be installing on my truck once i get everything i need for it. My question is, what would you guys use to spray it after its wire wheeled?
I was thinking of using a rustoleum self etching primer and then using so sort of matte black rustoleum product for a top coat but I've also seen rustoleum has an epoxy paint which doesnt require primer. Only problem is that it only comes in GLOSS black. |
Whats wrong with gloss black? Ive used the rustoleum equipment paint in gloss black on numerous things on my truck. Holds up great.

If you paint it flat black it will look like it was redneck done.
Anyways, it doesn't shine that brightly. Attachment 77624 Attachment 77625 Painting the whole frame was the best thing ever too. Didn't take too damn long and daaaamn did it look good. |
The lower half of your truck is redneck done then since it has no shine lolol

you talking about bedliner? Sure, but i redo it like once a year to make it look good again.
Anyways, I drive a shiny jeep now lol. It's all good |
