painting the grille

ok so my 01 honeycomb grille is faded bad and i want to paint it but idk what color im thinking flat black, gloss black, or crome. what do you think? im leaning toward the gloss blackpainting the grille-truck.jpg

sorry to say but i think crome is out because my bumper is crome so to me that is just to much crome. so its gloss or satin

Satin will look more OE.

Use an adhesion promoter like the DuPont stuff, then some DuPont Semi-Gloss Black Paint.

Watch out when removing the shell/grille from the truck… you can crack or break off the parts under the headlights.

Also, don’t do as I did, paint behind the grille the area by and around the radiator BLACK too.

Stock on the FX4 package. Check junkyards to find them cheaper, otherwise everyone wants an arm and a leg for them.

i did my 08 grille metallic black. looks awesome,we will see how long the metallic flakes last although it is exterior automotive paint.

^^^it was just flat black plastic before. painted the wipers the same colour. its a subtle difference but I appreciate it. :)
