Traction Bars - Got a new box in the mail :-D

Got them mocked up to make sure all the packaging needed is there.. down the road I will swap out the hardware for some grade 8's, but it isnt fully needed for a setup like this; should have my new carbon bit set in tomorrow through UPS, and then the drilling begins for the quick install of these.. I imagine only about 15-20 minutes per side roughly.. hardest part was getting the 1/2" fine thread down the traction bar bolt... and thats only because it was tough to grind through the painted threads

And yes, I do realize I have them on the 3 bolters, jsut took 10 seconds to move them to the front on the 2 bolters for the 28 spline *ohh.. I wish I had a 31, that was my first step to wishing for them!)

Will take a couple pictures, and then a probable review after I give them some proper lovin (breaking in) .. :-D

If they git rid of wheel hop (or is it axle hop) I'll get a set. My rear end jumps around TOO much.

Not sure if they fit all years but all you do is drill three holes and bolt them right in. They get rid of wheel hop and retain articulation. A big + for me is that they keep my tires from hitting my fender by keeping the axle from moving forward or back.

exactly. I had some fairly noticeable wheel hop when I put my 33"s tires on.

After bolting up the traction bars, that was mostly eliminated and it made the rear end feel much tighter on the street. Reduced some body roll too. They are a great mod for only $100, highly recomend them

Mike......nice man you'll notice a difference right away...espicially since we are manuals.

Little tip.....spray them with new paint. Mine were barely covered in paint from duff.

Yup, they are really loosely covere din paint, not too much of a bother.. I will smack them with my front end paint I used, along with all my rails on the side and any bit of frame I can get to and scuff up.

Got them installed by the way, took them for a good half hour drive, and went up this crazy windy street where I can bark my tires at every corner, aong with some serious body rolling happening before.. these bars force your truck to lean right in with it and give both tires a good push when your coming out, was able to chirp my tires, but you could feel it pull right away instead of spinning for a bit through the corner...

They are fantastic, I'll go grab a shot here real fast.. only took me about 30 minutes a side, it helps to have a good set of drill bits for this

I havent updated my little 'mods' list on my profile in over 4 months now, I've got -tons- more added, interior/exterior... heck, ive got another 400 dollars in random stuff coming in, my speakers arrived soon as I got home from work today too, so I need to get my rears bumped up to 6x9 after soem cutting.. then a 4 channel amp to give em some kick.
