pic request: Nightshade tails at night

I'm looking for pics of nightshaded taillights at night, and if at all possible side by side with a truck with stock taillights to show a comparison. I'd like to nightshade my taillights but I'm concerned with how it will affect the brightness of the lights.

I'll have to get a few pics of mine at night, surprisingly bright even tho they look completely black during the day, I held on to my stock tails and nightshaded some 06s since the shop I go to said they wouldn't pass inspection with all the nightshade I put on, daytime pics are in my sig

thanks man! I actually didn't use any nightshade on the tails, i Just sanded off the reverse lights after what you did haha, did some more light sanding and clear coat and it turned out flawless!

^ That's what I've been looking for, Thanks!

It seems like the reverse lights are affected more than the brake lights.

one coat isnt really that noticeable so it would be kind of a waste, but you could prob do one coat on the headlights and be fine. i still woudnt do it. just get light covers so you can take them off when it gets dark out.

the reverse lights aren't both stock in that pic

The white truck has stock everything. The black truck has niteshaded tails (but not the reverse light part) and it's LED's in the reverse light.

If you go with the night shade tail lights throw some LED lights in there to make up for the tint they work really well and are fairly inexpensive

sambob117 07-13-2007 12:30 AM

^ makes sense to me, I actually hoped that would overcome the shade.
