pic request: roof baskets

i was wondering if some of you guys with roof baskets (preferable on top of your caps) could post some pics of them up, also if you have a tire mounted or hi-lift or anything like that pics of how those are mounted. also how did you mount it to the cap? thanks a lot. ohya, also say what brand it is! thanks.

ive got mine sitting on a pair of racks (cam not very good. but ftw they were free) and got it also sitting on top of the roll bar wich takes most of the weight so it doesent damage much the roof :P

Here are some pictures of my basket on my cap.

It is installed using yakima rails on the topper then the landing pad goes into the rail.

RangerMuse how are the rails on your cap? did you just bolt into it? if you don't mind snapping a pic, can you just take a close up of where the rail is mounted? thanks a lot!

comunistico is that shovel in your basket just strapped to the side or are there mounts you have for it? very nice truck man

Yea I will try and get a picture in the next day or 2. I took the shell off for the moment to install my BL so it is across town in the barn. Ill try to get it set up for ya though man.

mine is a surco rack and it's mounted using the crossbars that came with it and my cap has roof rack rails built into it.
let the pic whoring begin!!!

as it got a step it goes perfect with the shovel curve so it looks straight.. its just sitting there and straped on to the rail... plus a chain and a lock lol...

very nice, looks like you got stuck pretty good in that field haha. pretty hany that your cap had rails built into it i'm just going to have to find something to bolt into the cap

i got the same basket as PUNKROCKPILOT and he didnt have the rails built into his cap here is his homepage if you wanna pm him. thats what i did and he was very nice.

did you buy some kind of mounts for your hi-lift that are made for the basket or are they just home made?

also from that link you sent (thanks) you bolted yours on, i was figureing thats what i was going to do seeing as i dont care to put a few holes in my shell, were the feet you mounted with attached to the basket from factory or did you have to attach them?

the high lift mounts you should be able to buy at the same place you get high lifts. They just bolt right on.

And i found my basket on craigslist from some guy. The feet are also bolted on and i filled the mounting holes with silicone so it wouldnt leak.

the one on the sport trac is my favorite. the guy that had it sold it now he has the white f150 with 33 inch km2s

i still haven't seen how anyone has mounted thirs... im picking up a welder tonight, and going to make a basket, i'm getting a lincoln mig 110 for $160, and then gonig to buy material, beats buying the basket for $459.99 :| so i think im just going to make some legs and bolt it to the topper. anyone have close up pics of where the bolted theirs?

Here's my buddy Timmy's....

Believe his name on RF is MotoRanger63? MotoRanger something. Or is it PowerRanger? He's got two diff screennames on two different RBV forums. lol. Anywho...from what I remember, he installed Sport Trac or Explorer roof rails, then the Yakima mounted to those.

Does anyone have pictures of the roof rack the Christian had on his Ranger, I've always wanted to find one like that I just can't find the pictures I had of it.
