Ive got the pro-comp slims on my truck, they're black, have the 55w H3 bulbs, and only $17! They are a hell of a lot brighter then my headlights.

Do you have to flame everything that you don't like?

they may have a "crappy"(as you call it) paint job, but think about it, any light's paint job will rust over time when in salt. I would rather pay the 34 for two then the hundreds for the others, if it's really just gonna rust out. And there is always something called rustolem or herculiner. the backs of mine are coated in herculiner, so ya know, I beleive my $34 lights will last for quite a while. OR, for 30$ a piece you can get stainless ones. But then again, even stainless will rust over time. replacement bulbs for procomps, like 5 bucks, or just buy another light, for KC's, would someone like to share? but I beleive around 50, at least thats what my friend is telling me. Just my .02

really all lights rust? nope... wrong o... my 100% STAINLESS STEEL KC lights um well DON'T rust, it has been 3 winters they have been on and well not one sign of rust and i have even had them apart nothing inside eather... and btw spending "hundred's" as you call it... KC also comes with a 23 YEAR warranty that includes RUST and bulb BURN OUT... if they rust send them back you get a brand new set... no questions... same with bulbs they burn out send it back..... after owning 2 yes TWO sets of those pro comps i wouldn't even waste my time with them anymore.. and you call them "bright" for a 55w light i had two sets of the same one's you have with the Fluted lens. beleave me compared to any KC light they are extremely dim i was highly disappointed with them..

its all about personal opinions. some ppl just dont have the money to drop on lights. im happy with them, and I used to have 5 kc 100s on top and was happy with them, but they were unnecessary for my uses, the Pro-comps are just a cheap alternative for those who dont want to spend the mucho money on kcs or hellas. sure they may not be as good, but for my usases, they are more then enough. I am not dissing KCs, Hellas, or PIAAs, saying their bad lights, im just merely putting the pro comps out there. Ive not had any rusting problems with mine, and I get on the beach every year with it over the summer every weekend.

Oh and I never said they were bright for 55w, just brighter then my headlights. But they do well enough for my uses.

and yea, Id have to agree with you, KCs are brighter, but is that MAYBE because of them running a higher wattage, say 100w or 130w for the slimlites. Ive not found a 55w KC slimlite, point me in the direction of it if you can find it.

thanks for the pictures guys. I'm totally sold on the KC's but I'm going to get an alternator at the same time. I'm afraid of toasting the stock one running the stereo and the KC's at the same time. Even though the KC's wouldn't be on all the time since I'd get the long range lights.

I was thinking of getting a 130 amp alternator from Jusnes. That should be plenty. It's not like they'll be on all the time. I just don;t want to factory alternator overworking itself.
