finally got my windows tinted!

I know this thread is worthless w/out pics, but I will get them up tomorrow. I am very pleased with how they came out. I got 15% added to the stock 15% in the back to make 5% and you cannot see anything behind the seats. This is especially good considering how much money I am going to put into my system. In the front I went with 35% and IMO is a perfect balance with the rear windows. It is a lot darker than I expected and I hope I don't get pulled over by the fuzz. I love this mod to the truck and would definitely recommend getting it done to anyone who has doubts about it. Anyways, I just thought I would share with you guys and I will get pictures up tomorrow.

Thanks. The best part is that I didn't have to pay for it (not that I wouldn't), but it was a Christmas present from my parents. I love it and am amazed at how good it looks.

if a professional tinting shop put the tint on, you'll be ok. because it's illegal for a tint shop to install illegal tint. (they can get fined)

It was a professional and certified tint shop that did mine. They used LLumar tint which is supposably very good and will last a lifetime. It came with the lifetime warranty, so I am set for that. The salesman pretty much recommended to get the 35% on the fronts and just made sure that I knew he told me about the nonillegal unshaded stuff for the front that nobody there ever gets put on.

I'm going to go outside right now and see how well I can see out the back. Not that I care too much, but I'm interested to find out.

i think stock tint is about 20% and if you lay 15% on it, it comes to be about 3-4%

i can see fine out of mine too.. but it takes a while to get use to it

stock tint is NOT 20%. I use to have 35% on the front (thinking they'll match) and they were WAAY off. I think stock is 45 or 50

now get an alarm with the glass break sensor cuz if someone shatters your window that tint will muffle the sound ALOT and hold the glass in place when it shatters...

Sweet, i love this color. It was either this or the light silver on the lot. I think I like the white the best though.

Seriously? I hate the factory alarm and would consider doing this.

yea whenever someone with tint gets there car broken into to the tint holds all the glass together so basically someone shatters your window, the window shatters but stays together in one big piece and no one really hears it, you just basically tap the window and it will fall in one big shattered piece because the tint is holding it together. The glass break sensor from DEI measures the air pressure in the car and when that glass breaks and air is let in it will set the sensor off

What is this you speak of? So there's an illegal tint versus a legal tint?

Also, you got a lifetime warranty on illegal tint (the sides)?
