Rubbing Alcohol

Is rubbing alcohol bad for paint if I used it to clean off the goo from the EGDE decals but then washed it right away?

Isopropyl alcohol is fine. I use it when doing a paint correction.

No, it won't hurt anything. Usually before applying vinyls or decals, you wipe the area with an alcohol wipe to clean the area.

Try using Goo-Gone on the sticky......then clean the area with an alcohol wipe. You can always apply some new wax in that area when done.
