Prerunner Bumper Design
So I want to get a prerunner bumper goin here... but I have a question... or a few...
Should I keep the top steel bumper and just remove the plastic lower bumper... And also should I get them to powdercoat the thing yellow? or just black? |
be diff powdercoat it yellow,
i am gonna ditch all my stock bumper when the time comes , but i know a few people like the look of stock upper/custom lower. |
here is just an example of mine. stock upper. but i think painting/coating it yellow would look like "too much". Most trucks that have fancy/expensive painted bumpers would be too scared to put them to use. Mines hammered plenty of things in the way, couple sprays of black, good to go.

I kinds want to powder it yellow for this reason... doesnt powdercoating hold up stronger in the scratch resistance? On the other hand Ive got the black and yellow thing going so... |
Too much yellow can be a bad thing. Do it black.

I like full bumpers, but more often than not they get botched, in my opinion. Or they just don't follow the lines of the truck well. On the other hand, I have seen a lot of really good looking half bumpers. It is a good option if you don't plan to mount a winch.
Plus you can leave the top part of the bumper yellow, and paint the lower half black. Should look good! |
i would do it black.

If you paint it yellow and it looks like too much yellow, you can always stick a big fish on your grille.
|
full bumper. paint it black.

Im sticking with black... but Im wondering if i can still do the fish on the grill?? haha
