gap between bed and cab?

I was lookin at my truck and noticed i could put my hand in the gap between the bed and the cab on one side, and could not do this on the other. The larger gap is probably 1.5" and the smaller one is under 1". is this normal?

Did you body lift your truck? Poorly aligned bed/cab. You can try loosening the bed bolts and getting it to line up better with the cab, but it might be that the cab is what's off.

Yeah it probably did. Try loosening your bed bolts and moving it around until it's where you want it. Shouldn't take long its six bolts.

So Im a little curious as I also have this proble. What gets me is that how can you loosen the bolts and align the bed? When in fact the bed has fixed holes that it need to be drilled into. Im not understanding and excuse for my ignorance.

Yea....there's PLENTY of wiggle room on these trucks. Just loosen up those 6 bolts, move the bed around to get it aligned perfect to the cab. Then you should be good to go(obviously after bolt tightening of course). Not only is there wiggle room in the 'nut' on the frame, but there's also wiggle room with the bolt to hole size on the bed itself. Just get out there and get to work. You won't hurt anything. I assume the bodyshop pulled the bed off to replace the bedside, and lacked on getting the bed repostioned perfectly.

Are the bolts the ones in the bed, or underneath the truck?

in the bed...the bolt head can be seen on the floor of the bed. Takes a T55 torx socket.
