Put some NightShade on the Tails

Well the title pretty much says it all.
Sorry for the phone pics

The tails prepped and ready to shade.
First i taped them up. The Reverse and the two dips i taped up.
Then i sanded with 1000 grit prep pad
And wiped it down with a damp paper towel.

Two coats of NightShade and Two coats of Clear

Installed

Ill get some night pics when it gets dark out.

I will have my 2008 grill installed on tuesday. Will post pics.

Yeah the longer i have them on there the better they look. It really cleans up the back of my truck.

And for the grooves. I got the idea while i was sanding them and hadnt sanded in the grooves and i thought it might look good so i taped them up and it turned out way better than i thought it would. It really is a pain to get the tape in that groove.

You have to fold the tape and start at the center curved part of the tail light and use the tip of your finger to press it in the groove without tearing the tape.
Then you go around the outer edge of the groove with a sharp razor blade.
Peal up the excess tape and make sure the tape in the grove stays in the groove.
(make sure the line cut is somewhat close the straight, also the tape it somewhat malleable if body masking tape is used.)

yeah its not a bad idea for those of the people that like their tails very dark with NS. Kinda keeps a good amount of brake light getting through but looks dark still during the day
