Removed my step bars
Took off my step bars today. I havent had a good chance to look at it much just because it was dark here 20 minutes after i got done, but still.... So far the truck looks taller without them, but also a bit more raked... so i gotta see it when its not on an incline.
Thoughts? Keep em off or put em back on?

its on a bit of a crown more than anything so its not on level ground there. Ill check it out at work tomorrow. at least there the parking lot is level. I know the crown in this driveway makes the truck sit a bit off. I bet if i took a pic of the other side it would actually look lower.
btw, no i didnt lift the back. the rear of the truck sits about an inch higher on level ground but in the second pic here, it really really looks raked. The first pic isnt so bad but im not sure if its an optical illusion or what. Hell, with the weight of the step bars off, youd think the truck would go up in front lol.

to each his own. its your choice. personally i agree with one of the posters that if your truck is high than yes they probably suit the truck than again you have a newer style truck and depending on other factors the side rails could look good no matter what. i for one say go with what your gutt tells ya.
