I wouldn't pay that much. If anything find a member on here or something that wants a solid back glass and trade them. Installing the window isn't hard at all.

yeah i know i almost bought a blue one a couple months ago they wanted 300 and it didnt have a back window. the only thing i have found wrong with this one is one of the latches for the side window needs to be superglued back together it kept sliding open when we were offroading. it came with the screens too just poped em out.

Nice find! I did the same thing. Paid $60 for mine. It was missing the rear window, but I just made one from plexi glass and it looks freakin sweet now! I just need to get some plastic tiniting to match the other windows. (I have sliding windows with screens :) )Keys cost me 9.75 for 2 of em at a locksmith.
I also have the 3rd brake light on mine. I just picked mine up middle of last week.

Good find though on yours!

Here is a pic of mine. (Yes i'm bragging):

i like how yours is flat on the roof . gona test fit my cot to see how much headroom i got lol
i argued with the guy when he made me keys and told me 25 for making one when last time i went to him it was 10 for two for my old toolbox that didnt come with keys. so i talked him down to 20 for 2 lol . im not going to wire up the third brake light unil im done painting it. im running four white led 12" strips and 2 12" blue ones back there for lighting blue to match my interior leds and white for light to find crap at night

Very nice! I like the idea of lights in your cap. I should do something like that too.

The locksmith I went to said it was $8.50 for the first key and then $1.25 for the second, being that I didnt have one to model the first one off of. I took a picture of the lock and the number combination that was on there and he whipped one right up! It was pretty sweet, but kind of scary cause anyone could take a picture of it and get keys made to fit it. Oh well.

I have yet to wire my 3rd brake light too. Havent had time and I also need to paint my cap. The paint on top is loosing the clear coat, so no matter what I'm going to have to repaint mine. I kinda want to do it myself. Im in L.A. until the beginning of may though, so I'm going to wait until i go home to Illinois, then bombard my dad's garage.

Im also wanting to make a rack that comes out around the cap like a ladder rack to put a spare tire up there and other stuff for camping. I of course first need a lift kit, lol.

Anyway, I'll quit ranting.

Your cap looks good too though. Takes pics of the lights and the paint job when you get it done! I might have to steal some ideas off of you.

Really dumb question, but how are you running wire back there to power the lights inside the topper?

THat is a genius idea, and i want to do something like that to mine too so i can see in it at night. Just curious. Wiring up the 3rd brake light is easy, just bridge it off one of the tails.

Thanks for any incite man!

just run a trailer wiring harness extension
it should already have a internal wiring lead
just tap into the + and - power leads and run wires to the lights
just make sure that you are running LED`S or you will blow fuses

im running a grommet through the rear cab and front of bed with a wire harness but going to use a quick disconnect/ prob a trailer harness so i can unhook when i remove the topper. The switches are going on the switch panel under my radio where i have the switches for my interior leds. also going to run a relay with atleast one 12V acc outlet back there.

you do not have to drill a hole in yer bed
on the side cross member just below where yer tail gate latch is on the inside is factory hole.
just run a trailer harness extension ( you will have to cut off the other end )
buy a replacement connector ,,
wrap the extension in plastic conduit ( wrap with electrical tape )
feed it through the factory hole ( install the replacement connector )
and then plug the factory topper light cable into that .
then just run a extension wire ( + & - ) to the lights you installed

( basically the brown wire feeds power to the interior topper lights )
assuming the lights have their own on/off switch
the white wire feeds the ground to the lights and the brake light

the yellow/ green wire activates the topper brake light

brake light is already wired not worried about that. im running led strips on the inside that i dont want to have power all the time. 4 white 12" long and 2-4 blue 12" long like i have throughout my interior.

I lucked out and got a gold topper shell made by hop cap for $125 that matches my gold 2000 XLT 4.0L. Only thing missing are the keys to the locks. Searched eBay for said locks and found a complete set of "Heavy Duty" T-handles to replace the set in the topper. Thank you Craigslist!
