I have black and clear tails in my truck! no red reflector. never been stopped yet.
Tommorow I'll have to go find a good glue/plastic bonder at Napa or something. Would you guys seriously not recomend the projectors as replacements? |
one of my fog lights is tweaked back a bit as well from a little fender bender out on the trail.
i need to fix it. |

I used proper aftermarket projectors in my Cadillac Catera and they really weren't that great. Since these are just fogs, and they look cool, they can't be much worse than a stock 55w fog light. |

I'm thinking of getting the projectors and putting some Nokya H3's The hyper yellow ones, they claim draw 55 w but put out 70w. Might be a little brighter? but same wattage |
ive heard of a lot of people melting wires on hondas with nokayas .... not sure bout rangers though.

The DOT doesn't not approve or certify anything. A DOT stamp or engraving on the product means absolutely nothing. Any retailer or product manufacturer that tells you that is lying to your face.

I picked up some "Quick JB weld" and put 3 layers on it and have heat blowing on it. So i hope it holds up.
Im planning on ordering these 9145 Nokya Hyper yellow hallogen fogs. Are they much brighter than stock? can anyone post some pictures? http://www.modacar.com/Merchant2/gra...per_yellow.jpg |

Here ya go. I have Precision Optics 9005 80w, but going down to 55 again. I LOVE them. Those Nokyas will be the same. But hey, spend $26 CDN shipped and buy them here www.supremepowerparts.com
The yellow bulbs make a huge difference. You can see just how yellow they are in this pic Attachment 172383 Just the fogs on. Attachment 172384 Attachment 172385 |
I got the Nokya's for $28 canadian, shipped. hopefully there good.
|
If the valance tabs are broken, you'll have to use an epoxy as mentioned to keep the replacement fogs in.
I had to do the same as well......until the valance was replaced. I recommend having another driver hit your front end to do enough damage to require the front end to get replaced and repainted. I went from having busted shakey fog lights and a rock chipped bumper, to a new front end. Highly recommended, especially when it's the others drivers insurance paying. GL |

They should be very similar to mine. Did you get 55w 9006? In my pics, mine are 80w 9005, but I have the 55w version on the way.I'm scared I'm gonna burn out my wiring. |
I ordered the 9145 H10, Same as stock for the 2003 ranger anyways, A few more watts hopefully a bit brighter. from 42 to the nokya's claim they draw 45w and put out 55w
|
ah you should be good then. I want pics when they're installed!
|
