Icon2 Regular cab OEM Ford Step board sizes? Anyone have them?

I am about ready to buy these but just wanted to confirm with someone that has OEM Ford Round Step bars that look like the attached picture if they will fit with an Standard cab step side truck. I have a 2001 ranger XLT step side.

The person measured and just as pictured comes with all hardware and bolts and the total length of the bar is 53"

Can anyone confirm that it is the correct size for standard cab?

thanks much,
-Nigel

Nigel did you end up buying these step bars? Any problems with the fit? Where did you buy them and cost? Thanks,Bob

Bob,

OLD thread sorry. Not sure why I didn't see a response. You probably already picked up a pair.

To my knowledge this is the aftermarket "Ford" or dealer installed steps and not the smaller coming from the factory ones. I like these a tad more since they are a little bit beefier looking and hang slightly lower.

I got these off eBay back a few years ago. From my knowledge they were NOS. The problem that I had was the seller did a shitty job packaging them and one of the mounting bolts/special u shaped bolt thing was lost forever. In the picture it's the thing on the right bracket on top of the plastic. They swore it included two even though the picture only has one... I bitched enough and they refunded me half the purchase price. So I think I paid $100 for the entire thing. Ended up finding that bracket bolt part on eBay as well so it was a no problem. A few years later I saw a set on eBay that were chrome. Same exact style.

I don't use them getting in and out of the truck but it sure as hell makes it much easier to wash the top of the roof...lol

Thanks Nigel.I've been looking at step bars for awhile, trying to decide what I want. There is not much left out there for reg. cab trucks.

In a similar position, trying not to spend much money on them if i can help it. I understand the bars are the same between cabs (2 door/4 door), but the rear mount bracket is the difference.

Yep it's hard finding for the trucks I'm finding lately. I really did not want to go aftermarket step bars because they all look bad to me. I have found that the newer style is easier to find that isn't as thick as the ones I have. But, you will pay $300+ for those when they come up on eBay. Sometimes the price is crazy. I think it was pure luck when I found mine honestly. Sometimes ya luck out on craigslist but from the ones I've seen on there they are usually rusted out and or in bad condition.

I still look on eBay now for oem step bars..lol It's hard!
