billet grill question

billet grill question

I want a full billet grill on my 2000 ranger but i have the grill with the stupid bar going across the middle, xlt thing i guess?, but i was wondering if there was a direct grill swap available so that i can put a full billet in there?

Direct Swap...




Casper98 modded his truck...cut the horizontal bar in the middle and added full billet...

thanks man, i was thinking of cutting that bar out but i wasnt sure how far the grill would stick out so i didnt wanna have a hack job, if you know what i mean

Here's kind of a close up, you can hardly tell because of how far the billet goes into the grille, which is good.

did he cut some of the inside out a little, is that the gap that i can kinda see on the right side? still looks good though

I don't remember..i'll let him chime in. He's a local buddy of mine who's also a member. There's 4x4 shells i've seen done up just like this too, but has the vertical bars still attached. RPS might has a how-to on the 2wd shell mod too, but idk.

ok here's what I did, I cut the center section out and I didn't cut it out enough so I kept taking a little off at a time. Both sides (left and right) have about maybe a 3/8" gap because the grille doesn't go all the way up to the shell.

yea im not to worried about a little gap i just want a better looking grill

Is the grill in the very first picture (top picture) the same dimensions as a 99 mazda b4.0 4x4. will it fit in my my mazda

no. nobody makes grilles for mazdas as far as i know...gotta make it fit yourself.

here's tre's old truck's grill on austin's lifted red truck....(tre's old truck has stock grille right now)
