Powerdome Hood Installed:)

Just picked up my hood today looks really good. the paint isnt perfect but for what i paid i think its good enough. the black looks like it goes well, i just have to wax and wash the rest of the car. I see what you guys were saying abuot how it sticks out a little bit from the grille-but if i remeber correctly you can adjust the grille and move it in and out. ill probably get to that this weekend.
on a side note, in my exes 03, i felt like the powerdome was alot bigger than what i got. from the drivers seat i remember being able to see the back lip of the hood but in mine, the wipers are kind of in the way so you cant really see it, maybe the wiper style changed in 01 to 03. anyways here are the pics.

the old bug deflector left some nice marks-i guess they protected againt bugs and stones but nothing protects again the bug deflector itself. haha

ya im very happy with it. but now it looks like it needs wider wheels that poke even worse than before and the headlights definitely beg to be converted to the clear lens.

Yes sir, it is time. Time for some TLC. You got plenty of money to blow. 98-00 look better than the new models anyways.

and yes i agree. i think the 98-00 are the most fortunate. can do so much with them. and money? what money? all my savings went to the dam rear end, new heads, and tires

I hear you. It is better than a new truck payment. The corner spot. Just touch it up, get your color code, call the ford house, pick up your factory matching touch up paint. I got some clear too. I like to lightly wet sand with 1000 to smooth it all even after a touch up job.

ya i think thats an excellent idea. it doesnt look likes its rusting but its got that yellow-like color to it so a lil sanding would be good and some black paint and throw a lil clear coating on to shine it up a bit. how does that paint go on? spray or brush? or put it in a air gun?

Just a tiny brush. I comes in a bottle similar to finger nail polish. It works well for small areas like your wanting to touch up.

go in there and tell them you want a small bottle of touch up paint. they'll ask for the paint code so you'll have to figure it out since your truck was green before

yea im pretty sure it was unless it was just the bed that was green cuz now that i think of it, i dont think i seen that green undercoat on the cab side of the truck. that would be on the sticker on the door panel correct? i can go take a quick look if it is.

yeah look under EXT on the door tag.

if your door jams are black then most likely it was just the bed that got sprayed

that a new ipod app haha.
no ok so now i got my color-not sure why its a 2003 color but whatever. i was worried that was going to be a problem.
so my guess is the bed was in an accident-he bought a new one and he painted it black. wonder if it was even a 4x4 off road package now.

does your gas tank have a skidplate under it? same with your transfer case, does it have a skid plate under it?
