roll bars, thoughts?

Thinking about putting a go rhino 2/1 black roll bar on my truck. Anyone have one? I think it would look good on it. Would love to see pics of others.

My purple truck had one.
I think they're awesome, plus you can mount lights and other shit on top of them. You don't see them anymore. so i think its neat.

I have one but I'm still picky on the trucks that have one. I like some but not others, I'm probably just biased on mine.

Sweet thanks for the pics, what brands are they?

They are handy in case your truck gets sent back to the 80's

The biggest problem with most the so called roll bar that they are not true roll bars, they are light bars.

A true roll bar will need to be attached to the frame and be built from at least 1/4 walled tubing.
The roll bar needs to support the truck when and if you roll the truck.

So the question should be who'd you think of a Sport/Light Bar... ?

I think they can look good but don't rely on them for protection.

well yeah. but in reality I bet it would help some, take a little impact from crushing the cab on a light rollover.

I like them on some 80's trucks. BTTF Yota, old lifted chevys and the like. You need a newer age looking one to fit the newer gen trucks.

You leave the 80's out of this!

My first Ranger was an 88 STX 4x std cab short box, came with a Sport Bar with disclaimers about expecting it to support the truck, funny things you remember, but it looked good, that’s all I cared about.
Lights mounted up top, four KC DayLighters… 150 watts each and home made antenna mounts, 2 meter Amateur Radio and the good old boys CB, needed that fur sur.

The “Roll” Bars do add a look that is different than the other trucks, most with some sort of Back Rack.

Put it in, see what it looks like and if it works for you then it's the “80’s thing” for you.

I always wanted one but I have a visor now and I'm not sure how it would look. I just like the lights on them.
