Rollpan arrived...

I already have the SS one, but the need for a body kit made me jump on this deal. I scored this SLP/Roush pan off eBay for $100 shipped. Now I just have to get it painted, and buy the rest of the kit....

This photo is to clarify the size of the exhaust cutouts, for those of you considering this bumper. I was surprised to see how big they really were:

So, having received the bumper, I now know without a doubt I will stick with the standard duals, as trying to fit quads would just look tacky. Oh well....

Believe me, I love the Quads, but classy>tacky.

The rest of the kit is just the Thunderbolt body kit.....but I've got other plans for the front.

Nah, the kit won't affect my racing at all. Just make me look faster, so I can **** off the Bimmers and give them MORE reason to pass me, lol.

In SCCA, pretty much any cosmetic mod is allowed....but the more you add on, the more drag you have.....a kit like this shouldn't pose a problem though.

Yep, mine was factory black. I assume he just has a bunch left over....If you check his other auctions, they are all SLP parts, most for F-body cars. So I'm guessing he had a stockpile of parts, and worked for SLP.

Thanks again guys.

Don't pelt me with a rock!

You're mixing up your truck, though. Saleen stuff is always clean and classy, Roush stuff (ESP. the thunderbolt kit) is huge and gaudy. Leaving the sheetmetal stock (maybe a Mar-K rollpan) and waiting until you can find a Saleen Explorer front would be INFINITELY better and more worth your time and effort.

I like your truck so far and I'd HATE to see you screw it up! Steve Saleen would never put a kit that ugly on one of his creations.

Wowak, I totally agree. I never was the biggest fan of the SLP kit....still am not just totally in LOVE with it, but after being dissappointed by Ford NUMEROUS times about the SEMA kit (the one designed with the valence currently on the STX), I've not really got a choice. If I was going to do w/o a kit, I'd just leave the pan on that I currently have. BUT, I'm craving the STX valence; it WILL go on my truck sooner or later. But I believe most will agree when I say it looks retarded by itself....so I need side skirts of some variety. Razzi's are too "wavy" for my taste.....so that pretty much leaves SLP.

The only way out of that is if Dave can somehow find an obsolete STX kit somewhere, which is doubtful.

Oh, and on the XP8 front, I'd love to have one, but they are EXPENSIVE. And that's if/when you are even able to find one. The last one I even saw was on ebay, and sold for $1,300. JUST THE URETHANE. I'd still have to buy an Explorer bumper, and then try to fab up a kit to go with it.

So basically, I need side skirts, and until somethig better comes along, SLP is it. But I feel ya bro.......

ah i just thought of this, u could put a large oval tip for the exhausts on there...i know some camaro's had like a big rectangle exhaust tip on some models, u could do that...but maybe in an oval, to fill out the opening better....just a thought...

No, thats Sir Michaels rollpans.. they're actually flat, they don't match the curve of the sheetmetal AT ALL.
