roof rack

i was looking into getting one of these roof racks and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them and what is needed to mount it. it looks like the way the site recommends uses factory roof rails but i dont have those and i dont know any rangers that do. any help would be appreciated.

.

I didnt see a pic when clicked on link...You could take a rack off a Explorer and put it on your Ranger..Though you'll have to cut it a little...Some custom places on the net make/and will make you a rack there probably Xpensive though...

At 40x50, those baskets are to wide. My basket is 39x44 and that's pushing it for a Ranger roof.

Thule is the route I took for a roof rack since it was the most versatile I could find for everything I'm into. ie: biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing, etc.

TK14 bases, 430 feet and LB50 load bars make up the rack. Just about any manufactures accessories will mount to this set up but all the crap I have is Thule.

When I don't want anything on the roof, the feet and load bars come off so all that's left is the TK14 bases.

What ever you use to create the roof rack, I HIGHLY suggest you choose a square load bar.

I like roof racks on Rangers, but Carl, yours looks high for some reason.

Maybe b/c I did not use the drill mounts? I've seen some people that did that. Mine were the Thule feet, bars, and adapters so it used the door sill and was fully removable.
