Aftermarket nerf bar question. Mount to Frame or Body?

Hey guys,
I'm curious, do most aftermarket nerf bars mount to the trucks body or the frame? Reason I am asking is because with a body lift, i don't want them mounted to the frame cause they'd hang down so low. I see Rangers on here BL'd and they look to be in stock location, but i saw this dude in town today with his Ranger body lifted and his nerf bars sat way lower than the body, it looked dumb. Let me know

depends on the bar...

all OEM stock ones mount to the body and do a great job of hiding the frame that's showing, which isn't much on a ranger.

Thanks Shane.
I am looking around on 4 Wheel Parts, some Westlin styles, I'm trying to figure out if it states their mounting location.

I would not go with Westin. They look like crap in my opinion.

Go with the stock OEM running boards and you will be golden.

Which stockers are you talking about? There was a couple different styles and some of those looked identical to the westin ones.

I had a set of aftermarket ones and they mounted to the bottom of the cab mounts. They hung down to low and looked terrible. I gave them to a buddy and we modified them to fit his S10. I now have a set of 06+ OEM bars and I love them.
