Aftermarket 9007's

Just curious what aftermarket 9007 bulbs you guys use or recommend, OTHER THAN Silverstar/Silverstar Ultra.

I'm looking to get some different bulbs, but don't want to upgrade my wiring or install projectors or HIDs.

I'm looking kinda for like some blue-ish xenon type looking ones. I want like bright bluey headlights to go with my amber fogs, just cuz I think it would look cool, and the fogs will make up for the lack of visibility the bright blue bulbs may have.

Pictures are also highly welcomed.

Let's see what ya got. NO SILVERSTARS!!!

What about HIDs? Not much more than something like silverstars, visionX bulbs, etc, etc

Been using them for about 6 years in different vehicles and they burn out on me in 3-8 months and I'm tired of spending the money on them to keep replacing them every tume. I like the light they give, but not when I have to keep replacing them all the time. But I'm also looking for something like a bright blue, like 3850k and higher if possible?

I ran Luminic Titaniums with the upgraded harnesses. They were a great bulb that had the right color that i wanted. THEN i went HID and never looked back. lol.

Here's a link to the Luminic Titaniums: Ebay

Don't want HIDs and do not want to mod anything. Just want to plug in bulbs and be done with it.

HIDs are plug and play, just so you know. They make kits that just plug into stock bulb outlets and all you have to do is stick the ballast to something.

you're gonna have to if you want to see while driving at night.....colored bulbs from my experience...they're output SUCKS! so....if you want color and to be able to see...you gotta bump the wattage...and when you bump the wattage the bulb burns hotter and wires get hotter. I spent the $20 whopping dollars on the 14ga upgraded harness that goes in between the bulb and the factory plug. Those can be found on ebay too.

I will not attempt to make this a 'why not go hid' thread...but....i went though ohhh.....probably 6 different sets of headlight bulbs(all differnt brands including silverstars) and was never satisfied...those luminics were the best ones i ran...then i went hid. never looking back.

Are you needing more light? Maybe your housings need adjustment. I know mine are out of adjustment so my lights don't exactly light what they should be ligting up but I can still see fine.

Hmm. In my B2200 I installed clear lenses and 3850k bulbs and everything was just plug and play and they were really bright and had great visibility and they were pretty blue. Didn't have to upgrade my wiring or anything.

I had $400 projectors in my Cadillac and they sucked. They weren't bad,but not worth $400. H1 bulbs and I forget what the fogs were, but they were 80w halogens.

No I don't need or want more light. I have stock bulbs right now and can see fine. I just want some colour for looks to go with my amber fogs.

Sorta looking for this kinda colour on the right. I'm sure there's some plug & play standard 9007s out there like this.

I don't want like overly crazy bright lights or anything, like I said, I'm just looking for a coloured bulb. I sorta want like TrePaul's bright blue headlights and amber fogs, cuz that looks freekin BA.

I would just save for HIDs. You don't have to modify anything since there are simply plug and play. Just run a cheaper kit without a high beam.

I rarely use my high beams as it is. I think the only times I ever really use them is to flash them at people.

I got a set of those "Xenon HID" bulbs off the evilBay for less than $9. Either 4500k or 5000k, I can't remember right now.
They are great when it's totally dark, but they don't seem to have much output at dusk.
The light is VERY bright white, a big difference over the OEM bulbs.

These are a cheap way to see if you like the "HID" look without much work.

Hmmm. I might try those. And $12.99 too. I think those are probably just what I'm looking for.

Well if they look like the picture, then that's exactly what I'm looking for. I think I'll order a set when I get my next paycheck. I just spent $40 on a new tow rope today, so can't buy any more toys til my next pay. lol
