Sport trac and 06 Emblems.

I finished up the 06 Emblem swap on my 04 Ranger. I didn't want to put the Ranger emblem on the Pass side so I put a Sport Trac 4x4 emblem on to cover the old blue oval holes. What do you think? To much going on?

I think it looks awesome man. What doesn't look awesome is that bumper to tailgate gap. Tighten that crap up!

Do I see a '69 Mach 1?

Ha ha the truck is stock = no lift, so I guess thats the way it came from Ford.

Yes thats my 69 Mach 428 cj car.

Here is a better pic of the Mach.
The Camaro was mine, and it went bye bye to fund the Ranger.

I had to cover up the holes left by the old blue oval. I wasn't about to pay someone to fill the holes and paint my tail gate. There was a DSG 06 Ranger in the salvage yard I was thinking about buying the tail gate off of instead, but then I'd have to Rhino line it to match the bed. This was the easiest, and cheapest solution.

It looks good. I have often wondered if the 4x4 emblem would cover up the holes left by the lil ford oval. Only thing I would have done is line up the Ranger emblem with the 4x4 emblem.

NICE CJ!!!! Gorgeous car!!!

Putting the 4x4 under the ranger.....would look WAY too busy and actually quite ugly if you ask me. Plus, he'd be left with holes in the tailgate, hense the reason for coving them up with the 4x4 emblem.

I dunno if that is directed to my comment or not, but after i re-read my post I should explain better. When I mean level the Ranger with the 4x4 I mean to drop the Ranger emblem down a lil to where the top of both emblems are the same height but keep them on opposite sides.

I've been wanting some '06 emblems and a sport trac 4x4 emblem on my tailgate for a year or so now. I have 4x4 and no decal or emblem.

Sorry i like how it is and I should have clarified my statement a bit more. I would have covered the holes; but than again Fxwannabe is right. It would have been too busy.

I followed you. I'm trying to convert my truck to look just like an 06 so I wanted the emblems to be in the correct spot. I think your right though, it probably would of looked better overall to have those 2 emblems lined up. There isn't any taking those emblems off. When I was installing them I'd just barely touch them to the paint thinking if I needed to adjust them they'd just pull back off since I hadn't mushed them down. Uhhh needless to say I was wrong. I guess I'm glad I got them straight the first time.

looks great good idea. Did you drill holes in your g8 for the oval?

Nah I just took a set of cutters and nipped them off. The tape on these emblems is the equivalent of welding them on. It took a heat gun and a lot of heat to get the factory small oval off.

I appreciate the compliments. I use to not like the 06 Big oval and thought it looked a little off. Then my buddy that works at the Ford dealership as head parts man offered to trade all the 06 emblems for some of my left over Camaro parts, I thought I'd give the big oval a try. I'm glad I did as I think it looks pretty good and completes the mini F150 look.

I assume you're asking about the 4x4 emblem, correct? If so no I don't have the part number as my buddy looked it up and ordered it for me. You can buy it from this site. 4X4 Emblem [074x4emblem] - $19.00 : Jusnes Modified, The Art of E-commerce

***Edit
I just found the receipt. It lists for $23 and I got it for $12. The part number is
7A2Z-7842528-D
