step side bed

does anyone know if you can put a step side bed on a regular ranger? got a 2011 but love the step side look. just curious.

It won't work. Your truck should have 8 bolts the older ones have 6.

**** guess i have to keep the straight bed then. what about the cheezey looking grille? is there a replacement for it.

Morris, even though he has 8 mount placings on his truck, can't he either, not use the 2 extras or drill through to mount the steppy bed? I have seen other ranger style sides or whatever straight side they have who swapped beds to a stepside.

I dunno about that. I was just going on the 6 and 8 bolt theory. For all I know, 6 of the 8 could line up and it'll bolt right up. If you take pics of both or look at them side by side you will know for sure.

I guess I should have said it might not work as opposed to it won't work.

I would think it will work but research needs be done here!!

I will help too, I have a dealership close to me, I'll compare my truck the their 2010 and 2011 models. And 2004 IS the last year they made the stepsides.
